The first half of the book is an examination of what halachic sources say about a wide variety of medical ethics situations. The discussion is comprehensive, deep, well sourced, and with compelling examples. The author is clearly comfortable discussing both the medical and halachic fields on a scholarly level, and seems to integrate the two well.
I wonder, though, if the discussion fully represents the spectrum of halachic material on these subjects, or else if some possible approaches are omitted, either because the author has not fully analyzed the sources in which they are implicit, or because he wishes to emphasize some approaches at the expense of others. If the book avoids this flaw, then it is an important work of scholarship. I do not have the expertise to answer this question.
The second half of the book is a long discussion of why euthanasia and its growing acceptance in Western medicine are bad things.
