The one and only, also the best...

Keeping it simple, this book is a how to or child's guide, for electric rail traction power. It's got substations, protection, lots of overhead (contact) line design, coupling points (tie-station), lots of colour pictures, lots of equations and maths. If you are a electrical engineer working on a rail traction power project this book is your only required reference.

The book will be required reading for the engineers, operating personnel and system management people at railways, and their consultants. Major railways and commuter systems with electrified lines should have several copies of this book within reach of not just management but employees in the middle of managing daily operations. Mr. Kiessling and his Siemens colleagues deserve considerable credit for updating the technical literature on electric railways with the release of this latest edition of their book.

This is a perfect book. The quality of paper is good for long keeping.
The writer is GERMAN so why not much salutation. They refer to many projects with their own experience that Electrical Engineer looking for.
